The economic crisis in the South Asian country, Sri Lanka has heightened as citizens begin jungle justice on politicians.

Naija News understands that the country has been in crisis lately, relating to fuel scarcity, unemployment, food shortage, energy shortage and more.

Riots in the country are understood to have started after a local green movement, the Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance, ESG organic farming beliefs were implemented into law.

Basic amenities become inaccessible to the citizens and food has become one of the major crises.

Reports emerging today revealed that angry citizens are currently attacking public office holders including security agents.

Meanwhile, former Senate President and a presidential aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Bukola Saraki has alleged that bad leadership was responsible for the rising insecurity in Nigeria.

The aspirant made the allegation while interacting with PDP delegates in Jalingo the Taraba state capital.

Saraki noted that Nigerians have been divided due to bad leadership, the sectionalism been demonstrated in the present government of President Muhammadu Buhari led All Progressives Congress (APC) and has created room for the continuous insecurity in the country.

He said the security agencies were no longer working in the manner to tackle the rising problem, adding that Nigeria needs to be rescued from the situation, Naija News reports.
