Rivers Landlord Attack Couple With Matchete After Woman Turned Down His Advances

A landlord identified as Alao has hacked Alabo his tenant and her fiance in Rivers State.

The landlord who owns a house at Ekwulobia Street Mile 3, Diobu in Port Harcourt City Local Council of Rivers State, on Sunday, May 15, reportedly attacked his tenant and her lover out of jealousy.

The landlord war accused of asking Comfort out and insulting her for feeding her boyfriend who does not have a job

Speaking from a hospital bed, Comfort explained that the issue began when Alabo removed the clothes she spread from the line and threw them on the ground.

Explaining further that when she went to pick them up the landlord in his ‘usual manner,’ started to verbally abuse her, saying, “instead of man to keep you at home, you are throwing yourself at a man.”

Her fiance, Stanley Nwagadi, heard the landlord’s utterance and they began to exchange words

The tenants later intervened and diffused the situation. They later left the compound. However when they returned from their outing, the landlord attacked them with a machete and inflicted several cuts on her.

She added that Stanley, who ran to save her on hearing her screams, was also cut on his head and hand before the suspect ran away.

Stanley, called for the arrest and prosecution of the landlord.

The Rivers State Police Command confirmed that the landlord is on the run but they assured that he will be arrested and made to face justice.
