Bandit terrorists have reportedly whisked away to their den a staff of the Zamfara State Radio and Television Service.

The victim, Malam Idris Magami, was reportedly abducted along the Gusau-Dansadau road on Wednesday while going to his hometown after closing hours, Naija News learnt.

Reports had it that Magami was riding in a vehicle with Alhaji Kabiru, his friend when the assailants ambushed them and shot at the vehicle.

The vehicle reportedly veered off the road and tumbled into a ditch. While Kabiru was able to escape the scene, the terrorists got hold of Magami.

Magami is a popular producer of a weekly phone-in programme called “Su duniya manya.”

A relative of the kidnap victim, Mallam Almu who spoke to The PUNCH, said, “Idris Magami was travelling to his hometown together with his friend, Alhaji Kabiru when their vehicle was attacked by bandits.”

He explained further that their vehicle somersaulted and fell into a ditch after it was shot by the bandit terrorists.

Almu maintained that Alhaji Kabiru was able to escape, while Idris Magami was kidnapped by the bandits and taken to their hideout.

He stressed that the bandits had reached out to them but were yet to disclose the amount they wanted as ransom.
