Nollywood Mourns As Popular Actor, Gbenga Richard Dies

Veteran Nollywood actor, Gbenga Richard has been confirmed dead.

Naija News reports that the once vibrant actor who was a force to reckon with in the 1990’s and early 2000’ died in his sleep on Tuesday night.

As of the filing of this report, the cause of death is yet to be made public, but it would be recalled that Richard has been battling ill health for a while  and efforts had been made to raise money for his treatment.

Nollywood actor, Emmanuel Ehumadu had once asked for support to help keep the veteran actor alive after he was reportedly suffering from diabetes and other related diseases.

On Labista’s post said; “There are so many veteran Nollywood actors who are dying in silence. After there contributions to the growth of Nollywood and the nation, they end up in pain and penury over any illness.
Gbenga Richards need our help. Let not wait until he’s dead to post his pictures, write RIP(rest in peace) on his wall and look for who to blame.”

Until death, Gbenga Richards was a renowned veteran actor in the Nollywood Industry mostly known to play action roles.
