Naija News reports that security operatives from Area D Command in Lagos prevented an outbreak of violence following the incident that happened at approximately 2:30 pm on Wednesday, May 11, along the Isolo road, according to The Guild.

The incident led enraged traditionalists to attempt lynching the driver to show their displeasure with the situation.

The police fired tear gas canisters to disperse the mob, who requested that the driver should be handed over to them when it became disorderly and chaotic, leading demonstrators and other road users to flee to safety.
