Security operatives have arrested four kidnappers who abducted a businessman identified as Chuks Okoro, also known as Oga Chuks, in Imo state over his inability to pay in full for a piece of land he bought.

The gang leader disclosed that he kidnapped the victim after selling a piece of land to him  for N2 million, but the victim only paid N1.5 million, according to Street journal.

He stated that he instantly informed his gang members, namely, Shebba, Crystal, and Onwa, who assisted him in kidnapping Oga Chuks.

They added that the gang abducted another man around Abor Mbaise and Irite.

He went on to say that a commercial sex worker, ‘Ashawo,’ was the one who hired them to kidnap their victim at Irite.

One of the kidnappers, identified as Sunday, a former prison convict, admitted to orchestrating the abduction of the victim in his neighborhood.

He stated that he knew his victim had money because the man was into wholesale of alcoholic drinks.

Sunday added that he is an ex-convict who had been imprisoned for murder.

Comfort, a female member of the gang, was arrested for concealing the syndicate’s firearms.

Her husband, who is still at large, was also a member of the kidnapping ring.

Comfort was arrested in her apartment while learning to drive in a vehicle stolen from one of their victims.
