Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano State has chosen and anointed his deputy, Nasir Gawuna as his preferred successor in 2023.

Naija News learned that the decision to pick Gawuna as the Ganduje’s successor was made at a meeting of the All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders in the state.

The Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, Dame Pauline Tallen, has declared her 2023 Senatorial ambition.

Naija News reports that the minister has announced his intention to contest for the Plateau South Senatorial seat in the 2023 general elections.

The minister will battle Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau State, who is believed to be also interested in the senatorial seat.

Tinubu Takes Immediate Action On Ganduje’s Rift With Jibrin

Presidential aspirant and presidential hopeful, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has waded into the political conflict between Abdulmunin Jibrin and Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano state.

Jibrin, who was Tinubu’s campaign Director-General decided to quit the party on Saturday and announced his intention to join a new political party.

However, an anonymous source has told the Guardian that Tinubu is making moves to resolve the conflict between the duo.

2023: No Igbo Man Contesting Presidency – Uwazuruike

The Leader of the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), Ralph Uwazuruike, on Sunday claimed that he is yet to see a serious presidential aspirant from the South-East.

According to Uwazuruike, many of the presidential aspirants in the region have the intention to emerge as Vice Presidential candidates.

Uwazuruike stated this while reacting to the criticism of his decision to support the presidential ambition of Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello.
