Bandit terrorists have reportedly killed fifty persons during an attack on three communities in Bakura Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

Naija News gathered that gunmen invaded Sabon Garin Damri, Damri and Kalahe communities on Friday afternoon and killed the residents including security operatives.

The daredevils also injured several residents of the three communities and burnt down many houses during the invasion.

According to Premium Times, the terrorists eventually retreated after security operatives reinforced and engaged them in a fierce battle.

Meanwhile, at least six members of the dreaded Boko Haram/Islamic State of the West African Province (ISWAP) terrorists have been reportedly killed by explosive devices they planted in Borno State.

Reports had it that the terrorists had planted the deadly devices on a track in the expectation that troops of the Nigerian Army will follow the route.

However, the terrorists who were reportedly returning from a looting mission around Nguma village in Biu local government area of the state fell and died in their traps.

Naija News learnt that the Improvised Explosive Device (IED) was planted for Nigerian soldiers but eventually, it killed the enemy.

A security analyst and counter-insurgency expert, Zagazola Makama, confirmed to newsmen in a statement that the terrorists in three gun trucks and one motorcycle were returning from the axis between Sabongari and Multe when one of its vehicles, a Toyota Hilux, ran over the IED.
