ISWAP Releases Photos Of Terrorists Openly Observing Eid-el-Fitr Prayer

The Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) has released photographs of some of its members openly observing the Eid-el-Fitr prayer at an undisclosed location.

According to some of the viral pictures, the daredevil terrorists were seen in different groups praying together in an open field while their spiritual leader was seen reading the Quran.

Also, some children were also seen praying and observing the Eid-el-Fitr prayer on Monday.

Naija News reports that ISWAP, formerly known as Jamā’at Ahl as-Sunnah lid-Da’wah wa’l-Jihād has caused the death of thousands of people and the displacement of millions of others in the North East and North West regions of the country.

The group also claimed responsibility for the attack on a Kaduna bound train which led to the death of at least nine persons and the abduction of the passengers on March 28, 2022.

Recall that the Nigerian Army killed an ISWAP commander and its spiritual head of Galta, close to Mandara Mountain in the South of Borno.

The army said the spiritual head of the terrorist group was killed during an operation around Manjo Ali Qere in the state.

In a post on its official Twitter handle, the army said the two ISWAP leaders were killed by troops of Operation Desert Sanity.

It reads: “Gallant Troops of Operation Desert Sanity neutralized several ISWAP/Boko Haram terrorists including the Amir & spiritual head of Galta during an aggressive clearance operation around Manjo Ali Qere in Borno State on Thur 28 April 2022. Arms & Ammunition were also captured.”
