Presidential Aspirant, Bala Mohammed, Secretly Buys Bauchi Governorship Form

The Governor of Bauchi State and Presidential aspirant, Bala Mohammed has reportedly secretly obtained the nomination form for the governorship primary of the Peoples Democratic Party.

Mohammed is eligible to contest for reelection in 2023 as he has served as governor of the state for a term.

There have been speculations on who will take over from him following his presidential intention.

2023: Atiku Should Be Extradited To US Over Alleged Corruption – Afegbua

Kassim Afegbua, a former campaign spokesman for ex-Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, has called for the extradition of his former principal to the United States over alleged corruption charges.
In a statement released on Sunday, Afegbua asked the US government to immediately extradite the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential aspirant in the interest of rule of law, justice and transparency.

The former Edo Commissioner stated that the US Congress in its report indicted Atiku on issues concerning money laundering and other financial malfeasance.

The leader of the Yoruba socio-political group, Pa Ayo Adebanjo has alleged that President Muhammadu Buhari has been running a ‘private agenda’ since assuming power in 2015.

He argued that the agenda is what has plunged Nigeria into the current challenges of insecurity and economic problems.

In his view, Nigeria has gone worse since the current administration led by President Buhari came into power in 2015.

2023: I Was The One That Wrote Electoral Act 2022 – Omo-Agege

The Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege, has claimed to have written the Electoral Act of 2022 recently passed by the National Assembly.

In a viral video obtained by Naija News, the Delta governorship aspirant said he wrote the electoral act because of the local politics being played in the South-South state.

Speaking in Pidgin English, the lawmaker called on all APC members in the states not to be afraid of politicians who call the shots because the ruling party is in charge now.

The Coalition of South East Youth Leaders, COSEYL, has distanced itself from a move by the Biafran Independent Movement (BIM) to back Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello on his presidential ambition.

2023: Akpabio To Officially Join Presidential Race On Wednesday

A former Governor of Akwa Ibom State and Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio, is set to formally declare his interest to succeed President Muhamamdu Buhari in 2023.

According to his media aide, Anietie Ekong, Akpabio will declare his intention to join the presidential race on Wednesday, April 4, in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom capital.

Ekong added that the minister will be contesting the 2023 presidency on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

A former Chairman of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC), Sam Amadi has given reason why he would not support the presidential ambition of the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress.

The National Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has reportedly approved automatic senate tickets for outgoing governors, who have declared their senatorial ambition.

According to Daily Sun, the APC NWC may not grant return tickets to over 70 percent of incumbent APC Senators and members of the House of Representatives who have indicated interest to re-contest.
