Terrorists who carried out the deadly attack on an Abuja-Kaduna train weeks ago have released another picture showing some of their victims.

Naija News recalls that there was commotion barely a month ago after a group of terrorists, ambushed a train heading for Kaduna from Abuja.

The assailants bombed one of the rail tracks causing an accident after which they attacked the train in full force.

At least eight passengers were killed in the incident, while 168 others were declared missing at the time, Naija News reports.

A few days after the incident, the Managing Director of the Nigerian Bank of Agriculture, Alwan Hassan, who was also caught in the attack, got pardoned by the terrorists and was set free alongside others.

Hassan as captured in a viral video released by the bandits said he was freed on compassionate grounds.

Emerging reports had claimed that the families of the financial expert had paid a ransom of N100million for his release.

In another news, Security operatives in the Ogun State Police Command said it nabbed nine members of a notorious kidnap syndicate terrorizing residents of Aiyetoro on Sunday, in their hideout at Abule Oba, off Ayetoro Road.

Naija News reports that the state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi stated that the kidnappers were arrested at their hideout on the 24th of April 2022.

He further revealed their names as Hammed Taiwo, Kehinde Jimoh, Umar Sanda, Sanda Aliu, Ali Morandu, Usman Abubakar, Usman Mohammed, Umaru Ahmadu and Umaru Momodu.

DSP Oyeyemi added that local hunters, OPC, vigilantes, and Amotekun Corps personnel made the arrest possible with their coordination and credible intelligence.
