2023: Nobody Knows Buhari’s Presidential Candidate – Okorocha

A former Governor of Imo State and presidential hopeful, Senator Rochas Okorocha, has said nobody in the All Progressives Congress (APC) knows President Muhammadu Buhari’s preferred candidate.

Okorocha made this known on Tuesday while speaking during a programme on Channel Television, Politics Today.

The presidential aspirant disclosed that President Buhari is unpredictable and has not endorsed anybody for the number position in the country.

The lawmaker representing Imo West in the National Assembly added that Buhari has not revealed his preferred candidate or given his support to any aspirant yet.

He said: “If you know President Muhammadu Buhari, he is a general and you can’t predict. He is so unpredictable, you can’t predict what he will do. He might pull anybody by surprise.

“That’s the military training that he has but anybody that goes there, I’m sure whatever he says is what he says to be.

“If anybody comes out to say that Buhari has endorsed him, the person will not be saying the truth”.

Meanwhile, the Chief Whip of the 9th Senate and presidential aspirant, Orji Uzor Kalu, has denied dropping his 2023 presidential ambition.

Some news platforms had earlier reported that the former Governor of Abia State has dropped out of the 2023 race.

It was further stated that Kalu has a plan to focus on the Senate if the All Progressives Congress fails to zone its presidential ticket to the South East.

Kalu, however, in an interview with newsmen on Tuesday evening clarified that he is still very much in the race.
