A teenage girl identified as Happy David has killed a grandmother in Adamawa State.
When interrogated, the 15-year-old said her action was intentional as she did it to teach the 85-year-old woman a lesson.
Naija News understands from reports that the young girl had armed herself with a stick, visited the residence of the woman, and beat her to a stupor until she died in the process.
She accused the grandma of being a witch. The incident according to reports, happened on April 8 in Tambo, a community in Girei Local Government Area of Adamawa State.
Acknowledging her crime, Happy told the police that the old woman, Gama Jatau, had bewitched and inflicted her with sicknesses on several occasions.
The girl who lives in the same neighbourhood as the aged woman said she chose the act to teach the woman a lesson.
Naija News understands that the victim was immediately rushed to hospital in Jabbi Lamba in the Girei LGA but eventually minutes later.
The girl was accused of murder and has been arraigned before a Chief Magistrate Court sitting in Yola, which ordered that she be remanded.
The Chief Magistrate Abdullahi Muhammed Digil, having heard the teenager plead guilty to her crime, ordered that she should be remanded while he adjourned the case to May 26, 2022.
Meanwhile, Kwara State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Ajayi Okasanmi, has confirmed the killing of some youths in the state during a clash over a lady.
Reports made available to newsmen on Sunday night revealed that three people were killed in Offa Local Government Area of the state during the weekend after two rival groups clashed.
The fight was said to have begun last Saturday night.
Confirming the incident to Daily Trust, a resident, Alhaji Abdulrahman, disclosed that the fight was between some youths of Isale Oja and Oja Oba in Offa.
He told reporters that one of the group leaders is understood to have snatched the girlfriend of a member of the rival group.
The development, according to him led to the chaotic event that claimed the life of three persons whose identities are yet to be revealed.
