The PUNCH: The Independent National Electoral Commission will spend not less than N239.2bn on procuring voting materials and vehicles that will be used in the 2023 general election. This is according to the 2023 General Election Project Plan that was launched by INEC in Abuja on Thursday


The Guardian: Rising from a four-hour National Security Council meeting yesterday, President Muhammadu Buhari once again issued fresh directives to security agencies to rescue all those in captivity across the country and advance the acquisition of intelligence.


Vanguard: IN SPITE of the raging waves of insecurity in the country and the killing of one of its staff on voter registration duty last week in Imo State, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has vowed to continue with its preparations for next year’s General Elections, declaring that the exercise must hold.

Buhari, according to the National Security Adviser, Babagana Monguno, expressed the feeling on Thursday during the National Security Council meeting held at the State House, Abuja.
