17-year-old Herdsman Murdered Alongside Cows In Cold Blood

A 17-year-old herder, Buhari Muhammad and his four cows has been murdered around Rangyel community of Bassa LGA of Plateau State.

The State Chairman of Gan Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (GAFDAN), Abdullahi Garba, confirming the incident told Daily Trust on Thursday that the body of the deceased has been recovered by the police.

The unfortunate incident occurred barely hours after two members of the Irigwe ethnic group were killed in a convoy of the member representing Jos North/Bassa constituency, Musa Agah.

The chairman said that the deceased was attacked by gunmen while his cattle was grazing. The attackers opened fire on him in the process murdering him, four cows and injuring five.

ASP Ubah Gabriel, the spokesman of the police in the state, didn’t respond to an SMS sent to him by the publication.

Meanwhile, five men have been charged to a Yaba Chief Magistrates’ court in Lagos for alleged possession of human skulls.

The suspects are Adekunle Mufutau, 50, Abdulwaheed Omolewa, 46, Adeleke Nosiru, 45, Kazeem Laisisi, 36, and Babatunde Omoleye, 30.

The defendants who pleaded not guilty were charged on two count charge of conspiracy and unlawful possession of human parts.

The Prosecutor, Asp. Rita Momah, informed the court that the suspects were caught on March 16 at Agbowa Ikosi, area near Lagos.

Mormah stated that the suspects had invaded a Brewery Cemetery in Agbowa Ikosi in the middle of the night, dug up many decomposed bodies, cut off the skull of the bodies and took them for ritual purposes. Read more
