2023: Aisha Buhari Invites Osinbajo, Tinubu, Atiku, Peter Obi, Wike, Amaechi, Saraki, Others To Dinner

The First Lady, Aisha Buhari has invited presidential aspirants to Ramadan Iftar dinner at the State House Conference Centre.

The presidential aspirants from different political parties are expected to converge on Saturday by 6:30 pm.

President Muhammadu Buhari’s wife in an invitation letter instructed the invitees not to come along with their mobile devices, except for their invitation cards which would serve as their entry pass.

2023: Osinbajo Appoints Senator Gaya Head Of Presidential Campaign Council

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has appointed the Senator representing Kano South in the National Assembly, Kabiru Gaya, as the head of his presidential campaign council.

Gaya confirmed his appointment at a press conference on Thursday during his assumption as the Chairman of The Progressive Project (TPP), an umbrella body of support groups for Osinbajo’s presidential campaign.

The lawmaker expressed confidence that the vice president will emerge as the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate and go ahead to win the 2023 election.

“There’s A Problem Already” – APC Women Leader Tells Youths Who Don’t Have N50m But Want To Contest 2023 Presidency

The national women leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Betta Edu has submitted that any youth that can’t raise N50m for the party’s nomination form should not be thinking of contesting the 2023 presidency.

Edu made the submission on Thursday while defending the N100m price tag slammed on the APC presidential nomination form by the ruling party.

Defending the decision of the party, Edu said anybody that wants to manage the huge resources of Nigeria as its president must be able to prove that he/she can manage beyond N50m so such a person won’t misbehave when he/she gets into power.

Why EFCC Must Investigate Bola Tinubu, Yahaya Bello, Amaechi, Others – PDP

The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dr Iyorchia Ayu, has called on the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to go after any aspirant that purchases the presidential form of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Recall that the ruling party on Wednesday announced that its forms for the Presidential ticket will be sold at N100 million, governorship N50 million; Senate, N20 million; House of Representatives, N10 million and State Houses of Assembly, N2 million.

Those that have declared to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari in the APC include: APC national leader, Bola Ahmed Tinubu; Vice President Yemi Osinbajo; Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi; Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr Chris Ngige; Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State and others.

Reacting in a statement through his SA on Communication and Strategy, Simon Imobo-Tswam, Ayu said the APC is planning to inflict more pain on Nigerians.

PDP Makes ₦646m From 17 Presidential Aspirants

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Wednesday initially ended the sale and submission of its nomination and expression of interest forms for all elective positions ahead of the 2023 general elections.

The main opposition party at the end of the submission of forms had 17 presidential aspirants fighting for the presidential ticket of the party.

As at yesterday, PDP had generated ₦646m from the sale of the forms.

2023 Election: I Will Give Sanwo-Olu 3m Votes – MC Olumo

The Chairman of the Lagos State Parks Management Committee, Musiliu Akinsanya popularly known as MC Olumo, has vowed to back Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for a second term in office.

MC Olumo made this known on Wednesday while reacting to the report that the Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC) had endorsed Sanwo-Olu’s re-election.

Naija News understands that the GAC is the highest decision-making body of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State.

2023: Again, PDP Extends Sale Of Nomination Forms

Again, Nigeria’s main opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has extended its sale of nomination forms to members aspiring for various positions ahead of the 2023 general elections.

The party announced on Thursday morning that candidates now have till Friday, April 22, 2022, as the deadline to purchase the Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms for the 2023 general elections.

The latest development has, however, have the opposition party to adjust its timetable and schedule of activities for the 2023 general elections.

PDP in a statement released today by its National Publicity Secretary, Hon. Debo Ologunagba said it resolved to extend the exercise after a thorough consideration of various issues and concerns.

2023: Kebbi Business Mogul Signs ₦100m Cheque For Tinubu’s Presidential Form

A Kebbi-born multinational contractor and Director-General Tinubu Support Organisation, Aminu Suleiman, on Wednesday signed a cheque to purchase the presidential nomination form for the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu.

This is coming barely 24 hours after the ruling party announced the sale of its presidential nominations forms for ₦100million.

Suleiman reiterated his belief in the capacity of the former governor of Lagos State to positively transform Nigeria as President.

Lawmaker Representing Buhari’s Constituency Dumps APC For PDP

The lawmaker representing Katsina North Senatorial District, Ahmad Babba Kaita, has dumped the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), Naija News learnt.

This was contained in a statement released on Wednesday through his media aide, Abdulkadir Lawal.

Kaita has immediately joined forces with the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
