Former Presidential Aide, Joseph Makoju Is Dead

Joseph Oyeyani Makoju, a former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, has been pronounced dead.

Naija News gathered that the former presidential aide died at a private hospital in Abuja on Monday.

Makoju was also a former Managing Director/ Chief Executive Officer of Dangote Cement Plc, one of the subsidiaries of Dangote Group.

Details of his death were still sketchy as of the time of filing its report.

Makoju was born on 13 July 1948 in Okene, Kogi State, North Central Nigeria.

He graduated from the University of Nottingham, UK, in 1972 with First Class Honour earning BSc in mechanical engineering; and M.Phil. mechanical engineering in 1974 from the same university.

Makoju attended National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies NIPSS, Kuru, Jos (mni) from 1989 to 1990. He also holds an honorary Doctor of Science degree in engineering from the Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi.

Meanwhile, Abia State residents, colleagues, family and friends on Sunday woke up to the sad news of Felicia Wabara’s death.

The deceased was the wife of the former President of the Nigerian Senate, Sen. Adolphus Ndaneweh Wabara.

Mrs Wabara’s passing away was made public by the Secretary of Ukwa East Local Government Area of Abia, Emmanuel Shebbs.

In a statement made available to newsmen in Umuahia on Monday morning, Shebbs confirmed that Mrs Wabara gave up the ghost in the early hours of Sunday, 10th April 2022.

He added that the wife of the former lawmaker died at the age of 69 after battling a protracted illness.

Late Mrs Felicia Wabara is an indigene of Ogwa, in Esan West Local Government Area of Edo State, and was married to Senator Wabara for 40 years.
