Ex-Senate President, Adolphus Wabara’s Wife Is Dead

Abia State residents, colleagues, family and friends on Sunday woke up to the sad news of Felicia Wabara’s death.

The deceased was the wife of former President of the Nigerian Senate, Sen. Adolphus Ndaneweh Wabara, Naija News understands.

Mrs Wabara’s passing away was made public by the Secretary of Ukwa East Local Government Area of Abia, Emmanuel Shebbs.

In a statement made available to newsmen in Umuahia on Monday morning, Shebbs confirmed that Mrs Wabara gave up the ghost in the early hours of Sunday, 10th April 2022.

Naija News understands the wife of the former lawmaker died at the age of 69 after battling a protracted illness.

Late Mrs Felicia Wabara is an indigene of Ogwa, in Esan West Local Government Area of Edo State, and was married to Senator Wabara for 40 years.

Her husband, Senator Wabara was the immediate past Pro-Chancellor of Abia State University, Uturu, (ABSU) and Secretary of the Board of Trustees of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The Ukwa East Local Government Area Council has since expressed their sadness over the development.

According to the Council, in a condolence message, “on behalf of the people of Ndoki, the Chairman, Ukwa East LG, Hon Chuks Wabara sincerely console the former President of the Senate over this great loss, and urges him to take heart as God knows best”.
