Pregnant Woman Stabs Husband To Death For Planning To Marry Second Wife

A pregnant woman, Omowunmi Joseph, 43 residing at Odoye area, Alaadorin, Ibadan North Local Government Area of Oyo State, has stabbed her husband to death while sleeping.

The unfortunate incident occurred around 2am on Monday morning Daily Trust reports.

The publication’s correspondent learnt that the rift between the husband and wife began two weeks ago when the deceased informed the wife that he wanted to marry a second wife from his hometown.

After the incident, the suspect reported herself at the Iyaganku police area command. The command later took her to Yemetu police division, close to the scene of the incident.

The remains of the deceased has reportedly been deposited in a morgue.

Efforts to get the reaction of the police spokesman in the state, Adewale Osifeso, about the incident proved abortive.

Meanwhile, a Deacon attached to the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA), Onikoko, Abeokuta, Ogun State, has slumped and died while ministering to his congregation on Sunday.

The Deacon, Chief Francis Oluwole Ogunnusi who was the Baale of of Onikoko community, near Panseke area of Abeokuta was condemning the act of ritualists when he suddenly slumped and died.

According to Daily Post, the Deacon warned those killing people and drinking human blood to get rich, saying when they died, the money would be taken by another person.
