IPOB Writes Soludo Over Killings In Anambra

The brother to the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, Kanuta Kanu, has reacted to the amnesty programme the Governor of Anambra State, Charles Soludo offered the group.

Naija News had earlier reported that Soludo vowed to grant members of the outlawed group amnesty if they turn in their weapons.

The former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria stated this shortly after a prayer session meant to end the sit-at-home order earlier imposed by IPOB.

Soludo while speaking said, “I have also offered Amnesty to all our brothers in the various forests around us. Give us your guns and trust us to help you forge a meaningful living.”

Kanu, in his reaction to the offer, noted that the Eastern Security Network (ESN) was created to defend the Eastern region against some criminals.

The brother to the IPOB leader insisted that IPOB is not a criminal group that should be given amnesty.

He said, “IPOB led by #MaziNnamdiKanu formed #ESN to defend Biafraland against herdsmen terrorists.

“Upon the rendition of #MNK, IPOB called for Monday #SitAtHome, which it has ended. IPOB supports Gov Soludo’s efforts to end criminality in SE, but IPOB are no criminals to be given amnesty.”
