Some yet to be identified gunmen have reportedly killed a pastor with Deeper Life Bible Church in Benue State.
The cleric according to reports, was attacked and killed by the assailants in Waku, a local community in the Guma Local Government Area of the state.
According to Daily Trust, the indigene of Umenger village was heading to Gbajimba, the headquarters of Guma LGA for a religious function on Tuesday morning when he was ambushed by the terrorists.
Similarly, the terrorists killed three other people, two women and a man who were working on their farms in Nyiev county il ward in the same Guma LGA, Naija News learnt.
Confirming the attack to newsmen, Chairman of Guma LGA, Caleb Aba, told journalists that the trio went to fetch locust beans from their farm in Nyiev council ward when they were ambushed by the heartless individuals.
No comment, however, has been made by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for Benue Command, SP Catherine Anene.
Naija News understands that Guma has been under attack by gunmen in recent times.
The affected area is the home LGA of the state Governor, Samuel Ortom.
Meanwhile, a 29-year-old lawyer, identified as Farida Sule Mohammed was among those killed in a terrorist attack that occurred on a train along the Abuja-Kaduna route on Monday, March 28.
Farida who was the daughter of Mallam Sule Mohammed, the National Organizing Secretary of the People’s Redemption Party was confirmed dead by her brother.
The deceased was buried at Yahaya Road Mosque in Kaduna at 4:pm on Tuesday, March 29, after a funeral prayer.
A friend of the deceased, Zahida Barau took to Facebook to describe her as a person with a good heart, Naija News reports.
