Former Vice President and 2023 presidential hopeful, Atiku Abubakar has condemned the attack on a Kaduna-Abuja train by bandit terrorists on Monday.

The train which took off around 6 pm from the Idu train station at the Federal Capital Territory in Abuja on Monday hit an explosive device about 30 minutes to Rigasa train station in Kaduna.

In a series of tweets via his Twitter handle on Tuesday, Abubakar said the Muhammadu Buhari-led Federal Government must be committed to the protection of lives and property of its citizens.

He, however, commiserated with the families of those that have lost their loved ones in the terror attack, adding that his thoughts and prayers are with them.

Atiku wrote: “The attack on Abuja to Kaduna-bound train that reportedly left many injured and some kidnapped is condemnable.
