'The Rain That Beat Okafor Will Still Beat Obinna' - Dino Melaye Warns Those Dumping PDP For APC

Former Kogi lawmaker, Senator Dino Melaye has taken a swipe at the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the party’s national convention.

Naija News reports expectations are very high and all eyes are on the ruling party ahead of the APC national convention billed for the Eagle Square in Abuja on Saturday, March 26.

Taking to his Twitter account in the late hours of Thursday, Dino however mocked the APC, saying they will be having a ‘disintegration convention.”

He suggested that there will be a lot of drama happening at the event.

He wrote: “APC DISINTEGRATION CONVENTION IS ON SATURDAY. OMO WE NO GO WATCH THE FILM FINISH. SDM”

Meanwhile, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced that political appointees who were elected as delegates for the party’s national convention on Saturday won’t be allowed to vote.

They would however be allowed to attend the convention as observers, Naija News reports.

The position was announced in a statement on Thursday via the official Twitter handle of the APC National Convention which is managed by the digital communications sub-committee of the party’s planning committee.

It noted that the Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) headed by Governor Mai Mala Buni gave the directive.

According to the statement released, this is to avoid any legal issues as a result of the controversies surrounding Section 84 (12) of the Electoral Act, 2022.
