APC Leadership Crisis: Bello Denies Getting Any Letter From Buni

The Chairman, APC Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC), Mai Mala Buni, has said all actions taken by Governor Abubakar Sani-Bello remains valid.

In a statement to newsmen on Thursday, Buni said he officially handed over to Sani-Bello before his medical trip, making actions carried out by the acting chairman valid.

He described as untrue reports that he reserved decisions taken by Governor Bello.

He advised stakeholders and members to disregard a statement discarding activities of the committee under Sani-Bello.

Reports had emerged claiming Buni, had dumped the sub-committee for the national convention earlier adopted by his Niger State counterpart, Sani Bello.

According to the report, the Yobe Governor also removed members of the caretaker committee from the Central Coordinating sub-committee of the national convention and reverted to his original list.

It said Buni named himself and the National Secretary of the committee, Senator John James Akpanudoedehe as Chairman and Secretary of the sub-committee.

He restored Governor Babajide Sanwoolu of Lagos State as Chairman of Media and Publicity Sub-committee and Femi Fani-Kayode as Deputy Chairman.

Buni also dropped Kano state Governor, Umar Abdullahi Ganduje as Chairman of the Protocol sub-committee, naming instead, the Kogi state Governor as Chairman of the Security/Protocol sub-committee.
