Bride Slumps After Groom Dies In Motor Accident On His Way To Wedding

A young bride is said to have suffered a traumatic shock after her 40-year-old groom, Mohammed Zakari, died in a fatal accident on his way to their wedding at Fumesua on the Kumasi-Accra highway in Ghana.

Naija News gathered that the unfortunate incident occurred on Sunday, March 13 around 1:00pm.

According to the police report, the groom and four of his friends were on their way to his wedding venue in a Ford Escape vehicle with registration number AS 3222-21 when it lost control and ran into a ditch.

Sadly, the groom died on the spot while the four other occupants in the vehicle were rushed to KNUST Hospital for medical care.

One of the victims who sustained life-threatening injury has since been transferred to Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) for better treatment.

The Ejisu Motor Transport and Traffic Directorate (MTTD), in a statement on the incident noted that it has commenced an  investigation towards the cause of the incident.

The deceased was buried the next day, according to Islamic rites.

In other news, a young bride whose wedding was supposed to hold on the 12th of March has reportedly died after a brief illness.

According to Salmgists, the supposed joyfully day turned to sorrow and tears for the bride’s family and friends who was identified simply as Hajara.

It was gathered that the wedding was to take place at Masaka Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa state, before the sudden death of the deceased.

A source who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said Hajara died on the 11th of March after she complained of headache. The decease was buried today, according to Islamic rites.
