Shehu Sani Reacts As Tinubu Meets UAE Leadership Over Visa Ban, Others

Former Kaduna Central lawmaker, Senator Shehu Sani has reacted to the killings of 19 soldiers by bandit terrorists during an attack on the convoy of the Deputy Governor of Kebbi State, Samaila Dabai.

Naija News had reported that Dabai’s convoy was attacked on Wednesday in Kanya, Waje District of Danko/Wasagu Local Government Area of the state.

The deputy governor was said to be visiting some areas in the state affected by bandits activities when his convoy ran into a large number of bandits operating in Kanya community.

This prompted Dabai and some soldiers in his convoy to attempt to save the villagers from the bandits but a gun battle ensued in the process.

One of the security aides attached to the deputy governor, ASP Idris Libata, alongside 18 soldiers were killed during the gun battle while the bandits escaped with injuries and wounds.

In a tweet via his Twitter handle on Friday, Senator Sani asked Nigerians to condemn the killing of security operatives in Kebbi and other parts of the North West.

The PDP chieftain said Nigerians should do the same way they criticise Eastern Security Network (ESN) for killing policemen and soldiers in the South East.

He said: “If you are angry that ESN are killing Soldiers and policemen in the South East and you are not equally angry with the Killing of Soldiers and Policemen in Kebbi and other parts of the North West by these terrorists, then your anger is restrictive, hypocritical and discriminatory.
