Unknown gunmen suspected to be terrorists have abducted a Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Joseph Aketeh of St. John’s Catholic Church, Kaduna State.

Naija News gathered that the gunmen stormed the church located in Kudenda area of Kaduna South local government area in the early hours of Tuesday.

During the attack, the priest’s security guard identified as Mr. Luka was also killed.

The incident was confirmed by the Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Kaduna State, Rev Joseph John Hayab.

He added that one other person was killed during the attack.

He said: “Yes it happened around 1.30 am.”

“Rev Fr Joseph Akete of St.John Catholic Church Kudenda was kidnapped and his security Mr Luka was killed.

“Another person was killed in the community same night by the bandits.”

In other news, the family of the slain Lagos fashion designer has broken silence on the murder of their daughter, Oluwabamise Ayanwole.

Naija News had earlier reported that Ayanwole who was declared missing after boarding a Lagos Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) was found dead on Monday.

In a press conference on Tuesday in Ikeja, the family said they are not in a haste to bury their daughter until justice is served and the culprits are brought to book.

The deceased’s elder sister, Ayanwole Oluwamilola Titilayo, and her elder brother, Ayanwole James Joel made this known during the press conference at CDHR’s office.
