Buhari Hails Osinbajo On 65th Birthday

President Muhammadu Buhari has felicitated with his Vice, Yemi Osinbajo on his 65th birthday.

He hailed the Lagos State-born lawyer and politician for his unwavering loyalty and dedication to duty, especially in supervising the nation’s economy.

President Buhari in a statement on Tuesday through his spokesperson, Femi Adesina, commended the selflessness and sacrificial acts of the birthday celebrant, Naija News reports.

He further hailed Osinbajo’s regular interface with heads of public and private institutions and other government structures in ensuring synergy and harmony that put the welfare and wellbeing of all Nigerians first.

He noted the worthy contributions of the pastor, praised his selflessness and efforts to bring government closer to the people, and placing the people at the centre of governance, by regularly advocating policies that support human development.

Buhari extolled Osinbajo’s courage, humility and resourcefulness, praying that the Almighty God would continue to grant him the strength, wisdom and good health to serve the nation and humanity.

Meanwhile, President Buhari has on the occasion of the 2022 International Women’s Day, commended women all over the globe for their irreplaceable roles.

Naija News reports that the President in a statement released on Tuesday by his aide, Adesina said women are not where they should be but that would be totally corrected soon, urging the womenfolk not to give up.

The theme for this year’s celebration is ‘Gender Equality Today for a Sustainable Tomorrow’ and has the hashtag #BreakTheBias.

President Buhari pointed out that women are taking up more roles in shaping the world and proving they can hold their own in all spheres and endeavours of life.

Particularly, the Nigerian leader praised the women in his administration for their roles and efforts before praying generally for God to grant all women peace, joy, and satisfaction.
