Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has condemned the murder of a 22-year-old fashion designer, Oluwabamise Ayanwole, who earlier was declared missing after boarding a Bus Rapid Transit (BRT).

Naija News reports that Anywaola went missing last week after she boarded a BRT bus going to Oshodi in the Chevron area of Lagos state.

She was, however, found dead with some parts of her body missing while her lifeless body had been deposited at the mortuary.

In a tweet via his verified Twitter handle on Monday, Atiku described the death of the young lady as sad and heartbreaking, saying that her murder was despicable.

The former vice president asked the security operatives to bring the culprits to justice and ensure that Oluawabamise’s death is not in vain.

He asked Nigerians to support and pray for the family of the 22-year-old in order to overcome the tragedy.

He said: “The reports of the murder of 22-year-old Miss Oluwabamise Ayanwole, who went missing on a Lagos Bus Rapid Transit vehicle, are heartbreaking. The act of taking the life of another human under any circumstance is despicable. I hope that the culprit(s) will be brought to book.

“The family, especially the mother, needs all the support and assistance to overcome this tragedy.

Meanwhile, the BRT driver in connection with the death of Oluwabamise has been arrested by the state Police Command.

Also,  the State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Monday expressed sadness over the death of the 22-year-old and vowed that justice will be served
