Former President of the Nigerian Senate, Abubakar Bukola Saraki, has revealed why the People’s Democratic Party, PDP was overthrown by the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC in previous elections.

According to the 2023 Presidential hopeful, the incumbent government came into power due to the weakness of the PDP in the previous polls.

Naija News reports that Saraki said this through Bukola Saraki’s presidential advocacy campaign council Chairman, Iyorweuse Hagher.

Speaking with PDP members in Dutse, the capital city of Jigawa State on Friday ahead of the 2023 general elections, Hagher said the APC administration has brought nothing to the country but suffering.

He stressed that due to the poor leadership of the present administration, nobody is celebrating Nigeria as the country has become the poorest nation on earth.

Hagher said: “APC could not have come into power if the PDP had not broken its ranks and went to join other groups to take power.

“We see they have done nothing, they came with no agenda except the desire to acquire power and they have shown the brutality of power against the citizens of this country”

“Today nobody is secured and nobody is celebrating Nigeria because we are the poorest nation on earth under the APC administration.”

According to Hagher, the nation is in dire need of an intelligent and smart president who citizens will be proud of anywhere in the world.

He stressed that Nigerians are tired of the APC administration and are looking for presidential material who can wipe their tears from the difficult situation.

“Nigerians everywhere in the world will be proud to say they are Nigerians. They will carry their green passports everywhere and they say now we have a president who is highly intelligent, smart who can stand shoulder to shoulder with any other president in the world” the chairman stated.

Naija News understands that Higher and his committee members were in Jigawa to ask for the support of the PDP delegates for Sen. Bukola Saraki in his presidential ambition.
