Ukraine vs Russia: Photos Of Nigerians Being Evacuated By The Federal Government

Nigerians who sought refuge in Poland after fleeing Ukraine due to the ongoing crisis are set to be evacuated to Nigeria.

Recall that Naija News earlier reported that the federal government of Nigeria announced that it will begin the evacuation of Nigerians stranded in Ukraine from Wednesday, March 2nd.

The minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, revealed this during a meeting with the Speaker House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, on Monday February 28.

He said that the Federal government had begun the process for the evacuation of Nigerians in Ukraine-Russia crisis and planes would be dispatched on Wednesday.

“We hope to start evacuation hopefully Wednesday… We are doing everything possible to ensure that come Wednesday, we will dispatch planes for evaluation”.

Amb Gabriel Aduda who is the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Thursday posted pictures on his Twitter handle of evacuees at Chopin Airport Warsaw Poland getting ready for their flight back to Nigeria.
