Nigeria Police Raise Alarm Over Fake Recruitment Site, Warns Members Of The Public

The viral video of a police operative attached to a VIP and seen carrying food for her at a party has attracted the attention of the Nigeria Police Force.

The video which went viral on Wednesday shows a policeman carrying a food tray behind her madam at a public function said to have taken place in Kwara State.

The video attracted angry reactions from Nigerians on social media, particularly on Twitter who see it as an abuse of the Police institution as a whole by the privileged in the society.

Reacting to the development, Acting Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi said the Police authorities have invited the officer in the viral video to Abuja for questioning.

Adejobi however failed to reveal the identity of the police operative or the ‘madam’ he was carrying food for in the viral video.

He added that police operatives attached to VIPs are for security reasons and not for domestic services.

The Police spokesperson frowned at the situation where operatives are used for other unnecessary purposes.

“He (the policeman) has been identified. He is coming to Abuja to meet us. We’ll ask question from him and take necessary action. We need to discourage such a thing because it is embarrassing the image of the Force and we can’t continue to be experiencing that kind of a thing because it is highly unprofessional,” Adejobi told Punch.
