Russian: Putin Gives Conditions To End War With Ukraine
The President of Russia, Vladimir Putin on Monday gave conditions to end the war with their neighbouring country, Ukraine.
This is coming after a peace talk was held between Ukraine and Russia at the border of Belarus.
The meeting between the two countries after hours of deliberation, however, ended with no result to show forth.
Putin while speaking with the President of France, Emmanuel Macron on Monday said that he would consider withdrawing his troops from Ukraine on some conditions.
CNN quoted a Russian statement via UK medium, PA News agency after the telephone conversation between the two leaders, “Putin stressed that a settlement is possible only if Russia’s legitimate security interests are unconditionally taken into account, including the recognition of Russian sovereignty over Crimea, the demilitarisation and denazification of the Ukrainian State and ensuring its neutral status.”
Even when the two countries held the peace talk on Monday, at least 11 people were killed by Russian attacks in Ukraine’s second-largest city of Kharkiv.
