Boko Haram Kills Eight In Borno Village For Giving Nigerian Troops Information

Boko Haram/ISWAP have killed eight persons in a revenge attack in Biu Local Government Area of Borno State on Saturday night.

The terrorists had stormed Mandaragirau and Ghuma villages in Biu Local, where they slaughtered eight residents.

it was gathered that the insurgents also left an unconfirmed numbers of persons injured.

According Zagazola Makama, nine terrorists on three motorcycles, stormed the villages of Mandaragirau and Ghuma, to wreck havoc, after accusing the locals of disclosing information of their plans to plants mines against the military in the road.

The  insurgents also burnt down some shops, looted foodstuff and livestock belong to the residents.

Naija News had earlier reported that troops of the Nigerian army Operation Desert Sanity had thwarted ambush attack by members of the Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists group in Mandagarau along Damboa to Biu road.

The Nigerian troops who were on a long range patrol in the general area intercepted the communication of the terrorists.

It was gathered that the ISWAP fighters were on a mission to plant an Improvised Explosive Device (IEDs), against troops.

The terrorists were also planning to attack troops as soon as they succeeded in detonating the IEDs.

Following the Intel, the troops stormed the location, thwarting the plans of the dreaded terrorists group.

On sighting the soldiers, ISWAP fighters took to their heels, abandoning their mission.
