Video: Moment Russian Missile Hits Ukraine Airport

A video has surfaced online showing the moment a missile reportedly launched by the Russian army hit an Ukrainian Airport.

Naija News reports that the last 24hours have been with reports of turmoil from the European countries.

At least forty people were reportedly killed earlier today with scores injured.

Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, has in response to the unrest offered to supply weapons to citizens who are ready to salvage the country from the attack by Russia.

Special adviser to the president, Oleksii Arestovich, disclosed this on Thursday while reacting to a recent bomb explosion in the country.

A report had earlier claimed that a bomb explosion today in the southern Odesa region, killed at least six people with scores injured.

Arestovich noted that the president had said Ukraine was ready to hand weapons to all those willing to defend the country.

The future of the Ukrainian people depends on every Ukrainian,” Arestovich quoted President Zelenskyy as saying, asking all those who can defend the country to come to the interior ministry’s assembly facilities.

In a televised address earlier, Russia Putin accused the US and its allies of ignoring Russia’s demand to stop Ukraine from joining NATO and offer Moscow security guarantees.

Due to the ongoing chaos, the European football governing body, UEFA on Thursday expressed doubt on the probability of hosting this year’s champions league final in St. Petersburg, Russia.

UEFA revealed the latest update in a statement which reads: “Following the evolution of the situation between Russia and Ukraine in the last 24 hours, the UEFA president has decided to call an extraordinary meeting of the executive committee …. in order to evaluate the situation and take all necessary decisions.”

The British government and fan groups had asked that the game be moved from Petersburg stadium which is sponsored by Russian state-owned energy giant Gazprom.

In related news, China has called for restraint on all sides after Russian President, Vladimir Putin ordered an attack on Ukraine on Thursday, 24 February.
