Nollywood actor, Jim Iyke has come under heavy critism after recounting in a recent interview how the late TB Joshua could not heal his ailing mum in 2013, whose death in turn affected him and led to the crash of his marriages.

Naija News earlier reports that the actor in an interview with media personality, Chude Jideonwo claimed he had gone to TB Joshua’s Synagogue church after they insisted that he must be present before his ailing mother could be healed.

Jim Iyke said “It wasn’t, when orthodox medicine failed us, I took my whole family to India to be with my mum and then she started getting better. This is the light of your life for crying out loud and I am not going to wager it for theatrics, for melodrama.

“At some point, an offer was made from there to take her there by a senator friend of mine. I refused, the pressure was too much, so I said ‘Okay I want to go, if they will save her, I will go’.
“We put her in a hospital close to there. I went there, there was a presidential suite I was accorded. When I went there, I was like ‘Okay, let’s get started, they said I must come down to the service. I said, ‘I don’t have to come down to the service, you people promised to heal her, does God need me to?’

“I said ‘I will live in this church for two years if you heal my mum’. So after a while, they had a meeting and said, ‘You need to come down. I remember I was there, my sister was behind me when this guy came and was doing stuff. When he crossed me, I chuckled…’

Speaking on why his two marriages failed, Jim Iyke said “I suffered a loss. My mum died. She was my best friend and business strategist. …she is so smart that it is ridiculous…it was a relationship based on friendship and mutual respect….she always had the right words and advise to me….I lost all that when she died, there was a spirituality and connection that I lost after she died….we were so close that it took them 72 hours to inform me of her death…I am a product of love, my parents were so inlove with each other so her death shattered my dad too….their kind of relationship opened my eyes to the kind of marriage I wanted too….”

“I didn’t grieve all through the process of her death and burial…but by the time i started to grieve, my wife became pregnant with my first son and i wasn’t as loving as I should be…..i lost my sense of humor and the lion in me so she suffered for that…i became an obsessive dad after my son arrived…i took all my love and care on our son and abandoned her instead…I was an excellent dad but horrible husband so after a while she left, she said she couldn’t find the man she married anymore and we quit but still friend.”

‘To heal, I had to visit different countries for weeks, from Gambia, to Argentina, Moscow etc ….” Jim Iyke revealed.

Reacting to his confession, social media users slammed him for speaking about his experience at the Synagogue church of all nations the way he did.

They also asked him to let the late Pastor prophet rest in peace.
