CNG Reacts As TeACNG Sends Message To Tinubu, Speaks On Votes Manipulation In South Eastrrorists Flog Kidnapped Victims, Threaten To Kidnap Buhari

The attack on a cattle market in Omumauzor, Ukwa West Local Government Area of Abia State has been condemned by the Coalition of Northern Groups (CNG).

Naija News had reported that some unknown gunmen invaded the newly constructed market on Tuesday and killed eight people during the attack.

Reacting to the tragic incident, the Coalition of Northern Groups urged the Abia state government led by Governor Okezie Ikpeazu to immediately arrest and prosecute the culprits.

In a statement on Wednesday issued by its Spokesperson, Abdul-Azeez Suleiman, the CNG stated the North would no longer keep silent on recent attacks on its people in the South-East or any other region.

The groups added that the region would resist any abuse or maltreatment of Northerners residing in the Southern region of the country.

He said, “We have studied the unfolding events carefully and with considerable restraint and maturity, to the point of condoning and accommodating several unreasonable and unacceptable actions that have been perpetrated against northerners in the South East in particular.

“The recent attack in Abia has taken matters to a point whereby silence has become complicity and inaction is no longer an option in the face of unprovoked evictions, attacks and killings of northerners in various parts of the South East.”
