94-Year-Old Woman Beheaded In Ekiti

A 94-year-old woman, Mrs Ayodele Ashaolu has been beheaded by unknown individuals in Ekiti State.

The incident occurred at Ikun Ekiti, Moba Local Government Area.

According to Daily Post, the nonagenarian lives alone in her residence where the incident happened.

Some members in the community suspected that the murder might be linked to rituals.

The Ekiti State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Sunday Abutu corroborated the incident when contacted and explained that one of the deceased children had reported the murder after neighbors found her body.

He stated further that the command was doing everything possible to make sure the perpetrators were apprehended.

In other news, a 16-year-old, Abubakakar Abdulbasir has kidnapped a 4-year-old in Katsina and demanded a ransom of N70,000.

A woman passing by the uncompleted building where the girl was hidden in Marabar Kankara town, Malumfashi LGA of Katsina State rescued the young girl.

According to police report, the woman was aware the four-year-old girl was missing. Read more
