Nnamdi Kanu Will Be Freed But... - Reno Omokri Tells Igbos What To Do

Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri has reacted to the arrest of the disgraced Super Cop, DCP Abba Kyari and four others over drug-related offences.

Naija News reports that the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) had on Monday indicted the former IRT leader in the trafficking of cocaine, which subsequently led to his arrest by the police.

In a statement on Monday evening, Police Deputy PRO, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, disclosed that the Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba, has ordered the immediate transfer of Abba Kyari and four others to the NDLEA.

Adejobi added that others officers arrested are ACP Sunday J. Ubua; ASP Bawa James; Inspector Simon Agirgba and Inspector John Nuhu.

The police statement read in parts: “The Nigeria Police Force has arrested DCP Abba Kyari and four other police officers for their involvement in an alleged case of criminal conspiracy, discreditable, unethical, and unprofessional conduct, official corruption and tampering with exhibits in a case of illicit drug trafficking involving a perpetual transnational drug cartel. The arrest of the officers was a sequel to pieces of information received from the leadership of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) on 10th February 2022.”

Reacting to the news, Omokri commended the Nigerian Police for arresting DCP Abba Kyari and four others over alleged links with an international drug cartel.

He, however, urged the Nigeria Police Force not to allow Kyari’s case to end like that of the former EFCC boss, Ibrahim Magu and former security aide to the First Lady, Aisha Buhari.

He wrote: “I commend the Nigerian Police for arresting DCP Abba Kyari. However, his case must not end like that of the allegedly roguish former EFCC boss, Magu, whose matter has been swept under the rug, or Aisha Buhari’s ADC, who was arrested, and then disappeared from view!”
