In what could be seen as another xenophobic attack, South African thugs have attacked two Nigerians over a stolen laptop, leaving one battling for his life.

Naija News exclusively gathered that despite the sensitive matter, the South African police has refused to investigate the incident.

Multiple sources in the country revealed to our correspondents that the hoodlums had attacked the Nigerians for allegedly buying a stolen laptop from another South African.

The Nigerian who is battling for his life identified as Nicholas was beaten alongside his friend who the thugs believed was an accomplice, while the South African criminal who originally stole and sold the laptop to Nicholas was left unharmed.

Nicholas was now battling for his life in the Intensive Care Unit at Kimberly Hospital, where doctors said his brain shifted due to the beating, with water finding its way to the brain.

Although the water has been drained, doctors say he has a 50/50 percent chance of surviving, stressing that if he survives he may not be able to work again.

Nicholas had bought a stolen laptop from another South African, so, the owner of the laptop apprehended the South African who stole the laptop and he took him to the Nigerian who bought it.

The Nigerian, who bought it, had sold it apparently to another Nigerian.

The hoodlums asked him to call the Nigerian he sold it to and he did, but when he arrived, he told them that he didn’t have the laptop anymore but agreed to pay them for it.

The owner of the laptop agreed but the owner came with a group which wanted to rob him of his phones and he refused, which resulted in them beating him to coma.

It was gathered that angry Nigerians had mobilised themselves and stormed the hideout of the thugs but they were no where to be found.

Sources revealed to Naija News that the South African hoodlums, the next day, attacked and burnt some properties belonging to Nigerians.
