Senegalese Team Members Get $87,000 And Plot Of Land Each

Senegal president, Macky Sall has rewarded each member of the national football team with cash prizes and plots of land following their win at the African Cup of Nations.

Each team member reportedly received more than $87,000 and plots of land in the state capital, Dakar.

Fans were gathered during the ceremony outside the gates to cheer the National football team members.

“By your vital force and your creative genius, you don reverse di course of history” President Macky Sall says.

“We dream of the cup, you built this dream and you make it come true” he added.

The president also praised the team coach, Aliou Cisse for doing a good job.

It would be recalled that the Senegalese President Macky Sall  declared Monday a work-free day to continue celebrating the African Cup of Nations victory (Afcon 2021) won by the national team on Sunday night in Cameroon.

The president, who was out of the country, had halted his trip to welcome the triumphant Lions on their return to Dakar at 1 pm GMT Monday, RTS public television said.
