President Muhammadu Buhari’s Personal Assistant on New Media, Bashir Ahmad has taken to social media to boast of achievements by the incumbent government.

According to Ahmad, the All Progressive Congress, APC has recorded successes in the area of Agriculture, Information Communication Technology and Infrastructure.

Naija News reports that the presidential aide made the claims while reacting to Nigerians on social media who are quick to criticize the Buhari administration.

Ahmad insists the APC government will keep announcing its successes while wailers continue to wail.

He Tweeted: “You automatically become angry any time we talk about the successes recorded by this administration esp. in the area of agriculture, ICT or the infrastructure that’s being built now, after abandoning for decades. Your wailing is not going to stop us, as we are going to tell more.”

Meanwhile, former Military President, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, has stated that Nigerians are expressing resentment towards autocrats, mediocre, ethnic champions, incompetent and visionless leaders in the country.

Naija News reports that Babangida shared his thoughts on the current situation of the country during a visit by the national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Senator Iyorcha Ayu, alongside other members of the National Working Committee at his Hilltop Mansion in Minna, Niger State.

Reading from an already prepared speech, Babangida noted the importance of the political leaders to become the wind of change and get things done the right way, while also stressing the need to seize the moment and adequately manage the complexities of the competitive party and electoral politics with the interest of the public at heart.

He said: “If we have failed to adequately manage the complexities of the competitive party and electoral politics since independence. We now have a golden opportunity at our present crossroads to turn in the direction of pursuing politics as a public interest project, in line with moral and statutory provisions of articles 13 and 14 of the constitution of Nigeria.”
