Biafra: Nnamdi Kanu’s Lawyer Reacts After Okorocha Calls The IPOB Leader ‘Smart’

The special counsel to IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu, Barrister Aloy Ejimakor has reacted to the statement by Rochas Okorocha who described his client as ‘smart’.

Okorocha had said Kanu used his smartness to take advantage of the frustration and anger of Igbos against the government to push his agenda for Biafra by convincing them that others hate them.

He added that IPOB is a controversial group and many of those who are part of the group are disgruntled persons looking for relevance and justice.

Naija News reports the presidential aspirant made the submission during an interview with Arise TV in which he stated that most members of IPOB have already been frustrated by the system and therefore became easy targets for IPOB.

He made the submission while speaking on his position on IPOB’s secessionist agitation and demand for an independent Biafra.

Reacting to the submission, Ejimakor agreed with Okorocha that Kanu is smart, and not just smart but profoundly smart.

He went ahead to state that the IPOB leader is not just smart, but loves his people.

“I agree with Okorocha that Nnamdi Kanu is smart. Not just smart but profoundly smart. And he loves his people to the hilt,” Ejimakor said in a chat with Daily Post.

Meanwhile, the spokesman to the lawmaker representing Imo West senatorial district, Rochas Okorocha, Sam Onwuemeodo, on Tuesday disclosed that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission is yet to serve his principal.

This is coming after the commission filed a ₦2.9bn fraud case against the former Governor of Imo State.

Onwuemeodo in a statement released on Tuesday alleged that the media aide of the Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma, is behind the news.

The news was released shortly after Okorocha declared his intention to run in the 2023 presidential election.

According to the media aide of Okorocha, the news was meant to kill the joy of a “very successful presidential declaration” by Okorocha.

Onwuemeodo further stated that no amount of political witch hunt by Uzodinma would stop his principal from becoming the next president if God had sanctioned it.
