Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State, on Thursday, played host to his predecessor, Ayodele Fayose, his Jigawa and Akwa Ibom states counterparts, Badaru Abubakar and Udom Emmanuel.

Naija News reports that this was made known in a Facebook post on Thursday by Governor Fayemi.

This newspaper observed that the politicians were in a jolly mood in the photos shared on the page.

In the caption that accompanied the photo, Fayemi said that both governors were in the state to conduct gubernatorial primaries, adding that it demonstrates politics without bitterness.

He wrote, “With Governors Udom Emmanuel and Badaru Abubakar and my predecessor in office, Governor Ayo Fayose in Government House this morning. Both Governors Udom and Badaru came to conduct gubernatorial primaries in Ekiti.

“This camaraderie demonstrates clearly that for us in Ekiti and indeed in the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, it is politics without bitterness. After hot exchanges and political disagreements, it’s possible to disagree without being disagreeable.

“Politics should be about values and vision, not violence and viciousness.”

Recall that the Fayose backed, Bisi Kolawole, had on Wednesday emerged the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governorship candidate for the upcoming Ekiti guber election.

While the All Progressives Congress (APC) is currently conducting their own primary.
