Fayose Reacts As Twitter Deletes Buhari's Civil War Tweet

Former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose has advised Segun Oni to stop attacking his personality and face his fellow aspirants.

Naija News reports that Oni is one of the main aspirants in the race to emerge as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) flagbearer for the 2022 Ekiti governorship election.

Speaking on Wednesday in Ado Ekiti, Oni had appealed to delegates to reject tyranny and shun political desperados whose time in politics have expired.

But in a statement on Wednesday by his spokesman, Lere Olayinka, Fayose urged Oni to concentrate on charming the delegates and probably win the PDP governorship primaries

He said it was appalling that Oni, who only returned to the PDP after sojourning in APC for over six years, is referring to people he left in the party as tyrants.

Fayose advised Oni to stop approaching a contest within PDP as an inter-party contest, reminding the former governor that he is no more in the APC.

The statement reads, “Ayo Fayose is not an aspirant and methinks all these vituperations from Engr Oni should stop. He should rather face his contest and his fellow aspirants.

“He is saying PDP delegates should shun tyranny and I wonder who among those of us that he met in this party he is referring to.

“As for me, he (Oni) should be reminded that our great party, PDP has gone beyond that level where people reap where they did not sow as it happened when a number three was made to become number one.

Meanwhile, the Senator representing Ekiti South in the National Assembly, Biodun Olujimi has pulled out of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) primary election in Ekiti state.

The lawmaker on Wednesday said she feels unwanted and disenfranchised, hence her decision to disqualify herself from the race.
