Media mogul and chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Raymond Dokpesi says he created a platform for the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) to defend itself through his media houses.
Naija News reports that Dokpesi disclosed this while speaking to newsmen on Monday after a meeting with leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Abia State.
The media entrepreneur stated that the outlawed group is not doing anything wrong, adding that IPOB’s actions were as a result of injustice, neglect, and the failure of the present government.
Dokpesi opined that the South-East region has been neglected by the Muhammadu Buhari government and subjected to perpetual poverty and penury.
According to the PDP chieftain, former vice president Atiku Abubakar was the right person to wrestle power from the All Progressive Congress-led Federal Government.
“Often, I have created a platform for IPOB to defend itself (seemingly referring to his media platforms, AIT and Raypower). I belong to the school of thought that believes that IPOB is not doing anything wrong. Their actions were borne out of injustice, out of neglect, and out of the incapacity of the present President; his absolute failure which started in 1985.
“He (Buhari) has neglected the South East and those wrongs have to be corrected at the right time,” he said.
