A video of angry Nigerian fans hurling insults and curses at the Super Eagles interim coach, Augustine Eguavoen, and the team following the Eagles 1-0 loss to Tunisia has surfaced on social media.

Naija News reports the Super Eagles could not advance to the Quarter Final stage of the AFCON after succumbing to a one nil defeat to their Northern African rivals during their round of 16 clash.

This came after Everton’s Alex Iwobi was shown a red card for a stump on his opponent which only complicated Nigeria’s push for an equalizer.

Disappointed about the loss, some fans were seen in the video shared on social media hurling insults at the players and coach on their way out of the stadium last night.

It would be recalled Human rights activist and politician, Omoyele Sowore has blamed President Muhamadu Buhari for the loss the Super Eagles suffered on Sunday against Tunisia.

Sowore on his Twitter account, after the Eagles lost 1-0 to Tunisia and crashed out of the AFCON 2021 tournament said the Nigerian players did their best but the call from Buhari passed bad luck to them.

He said President Buhari is bad luck personified and Nigerians can testify to it.
