The proprietor of Nobel Kids Nursery and Primary School, Abdulmalik Tanko, has appealed to the parent of five-year-old Hanifa Abubakar, a student of his school that he killed, to forgive him.
Recall that the suspect while being paraded on Friday disclosed that he killed Hanifa with a rat poison he put in her drink, adding that he buried her inside his school compound.
Tanko in his confessional video denied killing his student for ritual purposes.
He further stated that he buried Hanifa in the school premises because he couldn’t find another secured place to bury her.
Tanko noted that he kidnapped Hanifa and demanded ransom from her parents because he was in a financial mess.
The suspect said, “I just want to plead with the parents. I am so sorry for what I did to them. I have killed their daughter so I am very sorry. This is a life, a life is something precious.”
Meanwhile, the Kano State government has ordered the closure of the school where the body of the Hanifa Abubakar was buried by the suspects.
The affected school is located in Kwanar Dakata, in the Nassarawa Local Government Area of Kano State.
The development was announced by the Commissioner for Education, Muhammad Kiru, in a statement released on Friday.
