Niger State number one citizen, Governor Abubakar Bello has asked the national leader of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu to replicate his achievements in Lagos if he becomes Nigeria’s president come 2023.

Naija News reports that Governor Bello said while playing host to the former Lagos State governor in Minna yesterday.

Tinubu had visited Niger to console the governor, citizens of the state over the spate of killings by bandit terrorists in the State. The Presidential hopeful donated the sum of fifty million Naira to the state purposely for the Internally Displaced Persons.

Commending Tinubu for the kind gesture, Governor Bello said he looks forward to seeing the APC chieftain succeed President Muhammadu Buhari come 2023.

According to him, the transformation that is seen with Lagos today was evidence of Tinubu’s good works. Bello said he wants the presidential aspirant to replicate the developmental strides at the national level.

He said, “I am looking forward to seeing you lay the kind of foundation you laid for the massive transformation in Lagos for Nigeria.

“Lagos is a country within a country and we saw the foundation you laid there, we are looking forward to seeing you replicate it for Nigeria.”

Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari has reacted to the incessant killing in Niger State.

President Buhari, in a directive to the Defence Headquarters, asked the military to respond robustly to the cases of killings and kidnappings in the State.

The Nigerian leader also asked the Defence HQ to give effect to the strategic objectives through the use of force.

In his message to the government and people of Niger State, President Buhari said, “I would like to express sincere sympathies to the government and people of the State following recent security incidents.”

Buhari reiterated that security is a responsibility of every member of the community and only through solidarity and cooperation with law enforcement agencies can we defeat the problems finally.
