Varsity Student Films Herself Attempting Suicide With Bleach

A video of a Nigerian student filming herself while attempting suicide with bleach has surfaced on social media.

In the now viral video, a Osun state Polytechnic student named Bolanle was pictured fondling and drinking some red wine while in tears.

She was captured again opening a sachet of bleach, flaunting the content at her phone camera, before gulping the content from the sachet inside her mouth.

According to reports, the student has been battling depression, and had succumbed to the illness refusing to seek help.

Thankfully, concerned social media users alerted her roommates and family.  She is said to be receiving treatment.

Meanwhile, a 25-year-old housewife, Maryam Usman has taken her life in Kano last Thursday.

DSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, spokesman of the command said the incident took place after Mrs. Usman relocated from her matrimonial home to her parent’s place to receive health care.

Investigations revealed that the deceased had committed the act by cutting her finger and injuring her throat.

He said: “On January 13, we received a very unpleasant report, that one Maryam Usman, a 25-year-old housewife had committed suicide.
